Shoppers at Notino can now use the Klarna app to buy beauty products and split payments into instalments at checkout, aiming to boost convenience and sales. Circle Asia Technologies is rolling out Vietnam’s first AI-powered PayLater card in collaboration with Visa and Pismo. The digital-first card uses advanced AI modelling to offer instant credit approvals and personalized instalment plans to consumers entirely via a mobile app. Aimed at boosting credit inclusion in Vietnam’s largely underpenetrated credit card market, the virtual PayLater card can be issued in minutes and used for global online and in-store payments without a traditional bank account.

Visa has agreed on a strategic plan with the Central Bank of Syria to build out a modern digital payments ecosystem in Syria as the country reconnects to global networks. Under the partnership Visa will help Syrian financial institutions issue secure EMV chip payment cards and enable tokenized digital wallets according to international standards, marking the first time global scheme cards are introduced in Syria. Visa also intends to rapidly expand merchant acceptance by deploying its low-cost Visa Acceptance Platform technologies to local businesses.
