- Shift4 acquires Card Industry Professionals
- Zalando intends to buy ABOUT YOU for EUR 1.1 billion. ABOUT YOU shareholders Otto Group, Otto Family, HEARTLAND and the ABOUT YOU Management entered into binding agreements to sell their ABOUT YOU shares, representing about 73 per cent. In B2B, ABOUT YOU’s SCAYLE unit complements Zalando’s e-commerce operating system ZEOS, to help enable brands and retailers to manage their business
- Norway’s Vipps launches Tap-to-pay for iPhone. Vipps users in Norway can tap their phones with Vipps to pay in stores. Vipps MobilePay has become the first company to offer a competing solution to Apple Pay on iPhone. Swish also followed closely behind later in the week.

- ABN Amro pilots ‘Pay Later’ feature for B2B transactions. Under the Pay Later pilot, ABN Amro guarantees payment and also takes over the merchants debtor management. Merchants can use this feature to let their business clients pay by way of online invoices. The partnership facilitating the technology is Two.
- eBay and Klarna expand partnership to launch BNPL in Europe. After a successful launch in Germany, eBay is offering Klarna’s flexible payment options to millions of shoppers in the U.K., Austria, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain, with more markets coming soon.

- Railsr to acquire Equals Money for GBP 283 mln. Equals Group has agreed to a recommended cash acquisition (GBP 283 million) by BitCo, a consortium comprising the TowerBrook Funds, J.C. Flowers Funds, and Railsr Shareholders.

LITIGATION
- Klarna fined $50 million over AML violations. An investigation by the regulator during the period 1 April 2021-31 March 2022 unearthed that Klarna has been in violation of several key rules including a failure to assess how the bank’s products and services could be used for money laundering or terrorist financing

- GoCardless has partnered with Endava. Endava will integrate and manage GoCardless payment solutions for enterprise clients undergoing large-scale digital transformation projects.
