Luke Purser, Consulting Director is recognised as the UK’s leading acquiring specialist with over 21 years in banking, cards and acceptance. Of these, 15 years have been with Lloyds Cardnet, Citigroup and Elavon’s acquiring business and 11 years consulting in acquiring with PSE. Luke understands in detail all aspects of the acquirer value chain as well as the marketing, commercial, technical and operational models that support the business. He is an excellent communicator, has strong interpersonal skills, sympathetically leads client teams and is able to deliver concepts and recommendations to senior Executives and Board Members. He has substantial experience in developing acquiring strategies and new product development plans, as well as complex assignments relating to acceptance, delivery platforms and operational processes. He also has a very detailed understanding of Visa and Mastercard scheme regulations and interchange rules. He has delivered many assignments within the UK, across the EU and worldwide including Australia, New Zealand and South America for banks, acquirers, gateways and card schemes. He is very well known within the payments business and is a regular speaker at conferences.
